You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER (WARFIGHTING READINESS PROGRAM MANAGER) in the War-fighting Readiness Department of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
What You'll Do
- →You will exercise independent judgment, apply managerial skills and a broad background of knowledge in program/project management and is accountable to the Director/Deputy for assigned cost, schedule, performance reporting.
- →You will be responsible for contract activities, logistics, budget and personnel management for assigned activities in any and or all phases of the acquisition life cycle for war-fighting requirements, supporting policies and practices.
- →You will assist the Director/Deputy in forecasting and managing workload for the program office or functional area.
- →Personnel management encompasses organizational structure and resource loading.
- →You will serve as assistant and advisor to the Director/Deputy in designing strategy and program baseline.
- →You will direct program activities and all efforts associated with the program office or functional area through subordinate managers and teams.
- →Executes managerial, technical, and business acumen.
- →You will apply management and business principles to analyze situations, identify problems, probe causes and select courses of action for subordinates to pursue.
- →You will recognize the trade-offs necessary to determine the resulting impact in terms of schedule, cost, and performance risks.
- →You will provide goals, objectives, program and general guidance for operations consistent with higher level framework/guidance.
- →You will identify requirements and defines scope of projects which comprise the overall war-fighting readiness program.
- →You will coordinate program requirements for the Director/Deputy across Congressional interest, DoW, Navy, Industry, consulting functional experts both internally and externally, to deconflict competing priorities and requirements to gain consensus.
- →You will develop and implement program requirements based on new or revised legislation and analyze and evaluate program effectiveness throughout its life cycle.
- →You will direct and evaluate complex studies, recommending new methods and procedures to measure program results and effectiveness, and propose actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
