This position is located within the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE), Training Institute, Inspectors General Criminal Investigator Academy (IGCIA). The incumbent serves as the Program Manager for the IGCIA and is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, administration, evaluation, and continuous improvement of investigative training programs to supporting the Federal Offices of Inspectors General (OIG) community.
What You'll Do
- →Develops and maintains investigative training curricula that incorporate current investigative techniques, procedures, laws, Executive Orders, Department of Justice guidance, and other applicable professional standards.
- →Evaluates investigative training requirements by monitoring legislative, regulatory, policy, and operational changes affecting federal criminal investigations and recommends courses and program improvements.
- →Coordinates with program managers, instructors, and subject matter experts to develop lesson plans, instructional materials, practical exercises, and course delivery methods supporting investigative training programs.
- →Coordinates operational activities supporting investigative training programs, including scheduling, resource allocation, instructor support, classroom operations, student coordination, and program administration.
- →Designs, develops, coordinates, administers, and evaluates comprehensive investigative training programs for the OIG community that focuses on investigative techniques, procedures, and practices.
Requirements
- ✓US Citizenship is required.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation.
- ✓Must obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation through Continuous Vetting throughout the duration of employment.
- ✓All employees are required to be enrolled in Continuous Vetting, which authorizes government agencies to receive notifications of criminal activity and financial monitoring on individuals who hold low risk, public trust, or national security positions.
- ✓Direct Deposit of pay is required.
- ✓Selective Service registration required for male applicants, unless exempt.
- ✓Status candidates must meet time-in-grade (see Qualifications).
- ✓Education cannot be substituted for this series/grade.
