About the Role
The Manager reports to the FAA Office of Deputy Assistant Administrator for Human Resource Management (AHR-2). The incumbent is responsible for management and oversight of AHR's business operations, including business processes, budget, procurement, contracting, and inventory management at the national program level.
What You'll Do
- →The Manager oversees the work of finance and contracts, which includes programs that impact AHR employees.
- →The work includes complex projects/programs based on the objectives of the organization and the FAA.
- →Managerial duties typically affect managers and employees for more than one organizational unit/project/program, and include strategic planning; communicating the organization's vision and objectives.
- →Utilizes technology and automation tools to streamline processes, promote accessibility within AHR, and ensure transparent and timely reporting.
- →Continuously evaluates AHR internal processes using validated process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma or Prosci).
- →Applies human centered design thinking in the development and maintenance of these processes and programs. -Serves as the principal advisor to AHR leadership on the above functions, applying a detailed knowledge of the technical aspects of the work that is directed.
- →Comprehensive experience in budget, finance, contracting, and workforce planning are required.
