About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Del Rio Sector, Mission Readiness Operations Division, located in Del Rio, TX. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

- →This position serves within the Mission Readiness Operation Division and provides expert technical advise, research and suggestions to resolve technical, procedural and administrative problems involving complex operation workforce management and budgetary activities that may arise at the stations throughout the Sector.
- →This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →As a Program Manager (Director), you are responsible for managing the overall operations of the Division and provide operational support by performing a variety of administrative services related to workforce and financial management.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Supporting policy, hiring plans and position management, federal benefits awards programs, leave administration, payroll, time keeping, performance plan management, workers' compensation, finance, budget, travel, and procurement.
- →Formulating and implementing policies related to sector personnel management and position management policy, procedures and other matters affecting USBP programs with senior leadership approval.
- →Overseeing the Table of Organization for the sector and providing data to upper command staff regarding personnel strength; identify any differences between the required personnel levels and current on-board levels; forecasting the necessary personnel levels for both law enforcement and mission support.
- →Conducting budget analysis and managing unfunded and reprogramming requests, tracking budget execution performance measures to ensure expenditures are made within required time frames and according to the planned budget.
