About the Position: Serves as the top civilian advisor and Deputy to the Commander, executing operations with full decision-making authority. Manages 500-600 personnel and oversees multi-million dollar budgets, infrastructure, ammunition, and logistics. Represents the installation at the HQDA/DoD level, spearheads long-range strategic business planning, and directs subordinate installations and missions. Highly visible role requiring seasoned technical judgment and executive leadership.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the principal civilian advisor and Deputy to the Commander with full operational authority to make binding decisions in their absence.
- →Direct a diverse workforce of 500-600 personnel and manages all aspects of depot operations, including ammunition surveillance, storage, and logistics.
- →Oversee multi-million dollar capital investments, infrastructure improvements, and operational budgets to maximize efficiency and control overhead.
- →Formulate long-range strategic plans, local policies, and business plans to position the installation competitively for future workload.
- →Represent the depot at high-level conferences with DoD, Army Materiel Command, industry partners, and congressional stakeholders.
- →Coordinate comprehensive support programs spanning environmental protection, physical security, safety, finance, and information management.
- →Approve critical organizational changes, position structures, and work schedules for major subordinate organizations.
