About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Admissibility & Passenger Programs, Trusted Traveler Programs, located in Washington D.C. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • In this Program Manager position you will become a key member of a team of professionals managing a variety of diverse programs and/or services of the organization.
  • This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $158,322.00 (GS-13 Step 10).
  • Typical duties include: Conducting in-depth risk analysis to complete reconsideration requests from applicants denied or revoked from Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) Utilizing multiple law enforcement databases to conduct analysis of criminal records, national security related records and other sensitive law enforcement related information.
  • Evaluating an individual's risk to national security, customs and immigration violations, and border enforcement and submitting TTP discretionary reviews and recommendations to leadership.
  • Coordinating with enrollment centers and the National Targeting Center Trusted Traveler Vetting team to ensure consistent and compliant application of standards for enrollment.
  • Conducting recurring reviews of operating procedures and advising in planning, developing, and integrating an organizational capability to accomplish business and operational needs.
  • Providing leadership through developing and maintaining sound organization structures; improving management methods and procedures; ensuring the effective use of personnel, and materials; and proposing solutions to management problems that may have an impact on mission accomplishment.
  • Completing administrative activities relating to programming, security management, personnel management, including overseeing the administration of the serviced office's performance management program, and information technology support services.
  • Developing methods, internal controls, programs and procedures to improve cost-effectiveness, streamline organizational structures, and assuring conformity with sound management principles.

Requirements
