Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information Technology, Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations Directorate located in Ashburn, VA or Springfield, VA. Additional selections may be made beyond the total number of vacancies specified using this vacancy announcement. Selections may also be made for additional organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →In this position you will serve as Program Manager over a critical program segment for which both the scope and effect of the work have CBP-wide or Program Office - wide impact.
- →You will be responsible for strategic planning and implementation, workforce guidance and policy for tactical communications and enforcement technologies.
- →This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

- →Major duties include: Providing technical advice on strategic issues; utilizes various analytical methodology including but not limited to a wide range of statistical methods and tools, mathematical techniques, and process mapping.
- →Providing technical direction in project management, facilitation, process improvement analysis, and the methodology required to develop and substantiate a business case for the selected project.
- →Maintaining contact and liaison with appropriate persons to maintain awareness of policies, regulations, and technological changes.
- →Providing leadership to the key officials in initiating program and procedure changes to correct unfavorable trends in any aspect of operation and corrects situations or deviations from established plans.
