About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Field Support Directorate, Compliance and Oversight Division, located in Lorton, VA. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →Joining the Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, will allow you to provide expert advice and analysis to management on a wide range of administrative programs having department wide impact.
- →This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →Major Duties: Leading and implementing process improvement activities on key initiatives that results in significant refinement to service delivery, reduced operational unit costs, and increased quality.
- →Providing technical advice on strategic issues and collaborating with other Program Offices across CBP; as well as DHS to improve end-to-end processes and utilize various analytical methodology.
- →Recommending program changes on directives, as well as identifying advantages and disadvantages that defends the rationale for proposed suggestion.
- →Coordinating, planning, and integrating the long-range requirements with associated integrated action plans and implementing changes in response to customer requirements.
- →Providing management direction and evaluation of effective programs throughout CBP, which affects the successful implementation of DHS programs, functions, productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of CBP operations.
