About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Washington, D.C or Indianapolis, IN. What You'll Do
- →This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S.
- →Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Enterprise Services (ES), Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Organizational Resources and Support Division (ORS), Human Capital Management (HCM) Branch.
- →The primary purpose of this position is to provide day-to-day oversight, leadership, and direction in the formulation and implementation of programs, operations, and policies promoting effective and efficient workforce management.
- →This position starts at a salary of $147,945.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $192,331.00 (GS-15, Step 10)) $192,331 (GS-15 Step 10).
- →As a Branch Chief your typical work assignments may include: Advising, in coordination with Human Resources Management (HRM), senior leaders, supervisors and managers in the areas of labor and employee relations, employee recognition and awards, and workers compensation.
- →Ensuring proper skill sets and staffing levels are maintained to meet mission requirements, implements strategies to attract and maintain a high quality and diverse workforce, as well as provides leadership with the tools necessary to inform staffing decisions.
- →Developing workforce management strategy and serving as a key subject matter expert in various related areas.
- →Engaging with internal and external business partners and counterparts throughout DHS and the government at the federal, state, local, tribal, and international levels.
- →Advising in coordination with CBP, Human Resources Management (HRM), senior leaders, supervisors, and managers in the areas of labor relations, employee relations, employee conduct, workplace environment, employee recognition, and workers' compensation.
