Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Operations Support, Law Enforcement Safety and Compliance (LESC) Directorate, Asset Management Branch, located in Harpers Ferry, WV. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →The Law Enforcement Safety and Compliance (LESC) is dedicated to optimizing the safety, readiness, accountability, and operational performance of CBP law enforcement personnel by articulating use of force policy, establishing appropriate controls and standards, and supplying the highest quality education, weapons and other tactical equipment.
- →This position starts at a salary of $102,415.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $133,142.00 (GS-12, Step 10).

- →Major Duties: Managing programs for CBP's sensitive law enforcement assets such as firearms on behalf of Operations Support.
- →Planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling, and evaluating total life cycle management of CBP sensitive law enforcement assets such as firearms and related equipment.
- →Assisting LESC procurement experts and senior managers in writing firearms and less-lethal equipment contracts and ensure vendors are delivering goods and services in compliance with each contract's statement of work.
- →Developing methods, internal controls, programs, and procedures to improve cost effectiveness, streamline organizational structures, and assure conformity with sound management principles.
- →Providing information, alternatives, and recommendations on the current and long-range plans pertaining to program management, administrative procedures, and financial management.
