About the Role

This vacancy is for a GS-0343-9, Program Anaylst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, PSC BOPS CG MILITARY HUMAN RESOURCE RECORD SECTION in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia.

What You'll Do

  • You will serve as a Program Anaylst and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, accountability, and integrity of all U.S.
  • Coast Guard Active Duty, Reserve, and Retired vital military personnel record documents housed within the CGMHRR and the Official Military Personnel File (OMPF).
  • Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
  • Typical work assignments include: Conducting project management reports, research projects and providing advisory services on substantive issues of moderate scope and impact to assess the effectiveness of iPERMS program operations.
  • Providing technical support in program management and process improvement, along with external liaison activities and special assignments.
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting policies, standard operating procedures and directives pertaining to logistics programs.
  • Participating in regular meetings with management to address operational and administrative issues, resolving problems and providing recommendations for correcting, tracking or improving the iPERMS system.
  • Organizing, administering, and evaluating iPERMS processes and procedures.
  • Participating in the development of documentation to support request for resources.
  • Coordinating issues pertaining to quality conformance and additional action.
  • Participating in meetings with quality control groups.
  • Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
