About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
What You'll Do
- →Troubleshoots, performs major mechanical repairs, operational tests and maintains installed industrial production machinery and non-production machinery.
- →Install variety of grinding wheels on all types of grinding machines and make necessary adjustments as needed.
- →Use all hand tools common to trade and various test equipment and measuring devices.
- →Plans and lays out work which requires the study of sketches and blueprints prior to movement.
- →Operates motor vehicle as a means of transportation and to carry tools and equipment.
