About the Role
You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the Business and Strategic Planning Department of NAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.***
What You'll Do
- →You will act as a Business and Strategic Planning Office Representative responsible for performing functions for work assigned to the Waterfront Projects Division and Branches.
- →You will perform functions related to specific projects concerning the maintenance, modernization and repair of naval assets to include surface vessels and the Aircraft Carrier.
- →You will control and coordinate planning for ship work and special projects.
- →You will determine that all necessary information concerning the project is available or is requested.
- →You will authorize the preparation of plans, design data and material specifications.
- →You will prepare financial reports and financially close out the project.
- →You will review and concur with estimates for direct labor man-hours, issues and processing funding documents, and conduct periodic funding review including identification of and remedial action for shortfalls or over expenditures.
- →You will evaluate reports submitted by production ships or private sector contractors to determine appropriate action to be taken which includes changes in scope, cost estimates, additional material ordering drawing revisions, and schedule changes.
