The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM) provides the infrastructure and support that enables the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) to perform its mission. OASAM provides leadership and support for information technology, human resources management, procurement, business operations, safety and health, space management, civil rights, emergency management, security, budget, and performance.
What You'll Do
- →This position is located in the U.S.
- →Department of Labor (DOL) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), Business Operations Center (BOC), Office of Support Services (OSS), Branch of Administrative Services (BAS).
- →The employee manages the printing process for DOL and facilitates the procurement of printing products and services for DOL agencies.
- →Major duties for this position include but are not limited to: Serve as the organization's printing services specialist responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering printing procurement and production activities in support of agency programs and operations.
- →Review, prepare, and process printing requisitions, contracts, procurement requests, statements of work, and related documentation to ensure compliance with federal printing laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and GPO requirements.
- →Analyze customer requirements and determine appropriate technical printing and publishing specifications, including formatting, composition, paper stock, binding, layout, production methods, and distribution requirements to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- →Monitor printing projects throughout the production lifecycle, including tracking schedules, reviewing invoices, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring products are delivered within established timeframes and budget constraints.
- →Utilize automated procurement and production tracking systems to manage printing orders, maintain project records, monitor status, and provide accurate reporting on project activities.
- →Research, analyze, and resolve complex printing, publishing, and procurement issues by interpreting regulations, evaluating alternatives, and coordinating solutions with customers, vendors, contractors, and GPO representatives.
- →Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure printed and electronic publishing products meet technical specifications, contractual requirements, and customer expectations.
