This position is designated as SES, Career-Reserved. USDA structures its SES positions into position levels. This is a position level I with a salary range of $192,332-$204,121 per year. Exceptions to the salary cap may be considered in certain circumstances. SES employees are also eligible to receive bonuses and performance-based awards. What You'll Do
- →Formulating and evaluating policies and programs relating to food and agricultural research, education and extension as well as operational activities, including budget, policy, personnel and civil rights.
- →Provides oversight to foster strategic alignment of National Institute of Food and Agriculture's program institutes, international programs, planning and accountability functions, and operational/administrative systems.
- →May act for the Director during absences, including approval of policy documents, funding actions, official correspondence, and authorization of official travel, in consultation with REE leadership.
- →Leads the integration of science programs and administrative operations to implement and advance National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s tripartite mission across three major program areas: Research, Extension and Education.
