This Licensed Practical Nurse position is at the VA Boston Healthcare System located at the Jamaica Plain, MA location. This position is a full time position at 40 hours per week.

- →The incumbent performs direct patient care and participates in activities that support safety on the unit and enable the program to meet its general requirements.
- →The incumbent will interface with personal computer (PC) applications and numerous VISTA applications in the performance of his/her duties.
- →Complete assigned duties/responsibilities, which involve performing standard practical nursing activities.
- →Demonstrate knowledge/skills to resolve a range of nursing problems.
- →Demonstrate knowledge of human behavior, motivations, and reactions to situations in the provision of nursing care, provide a safe environment and protect patients' rights, and recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- →Be aware of program policies, procedures, and directives that are in place for all VA employees as well as those that are unique to the specific program (s), and practice in a manner consistent with these policies.
- →Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift.

- →Permanent Change of Station: Not Authorized.
- →Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
- →When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year).
- →Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior work experience or military service experience.
