About the Role
About the Position: The incumbent provide routine and specialized care to patients with increased independence and responsibility, supporting the ambulatory healthcare team in delivering safe, efficient, and effective care for a diverse patient population. Position is located within the Department of Gastroenterology Service at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinic with a variety of medical conditions, performing tasks such as recording vital signs, ordering labs, radiology orders and referral results to completion, making future appointments.
- →Assist in performing and managing medical procedures, physical examinations, and treatments.
- →Provide nursing care to patients in the inpatient setting with a variety of medical conditions, performing tasks such as recording vital signs, monitoring patient conditions, and reporting significant findings to the supervising nurse or physician.
- →Administer prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.
- →Provide patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.
