About the Position: This position is a Practice Nurse (Outpatient) position located at Keller Army Community Hospital, West Point, New York. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Provide practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinic with a variety of medical conditions.
- →Perform tasks such as recording vital signs, ordering labs, tracking patient’s laboratory, radiology orders and referral results to completion.
- →Administer prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.
- →Educate patients and families about prescribed treatments, reinforcing adherence to the medical plan.
- →Document administered medications and patient responses promptly in compliance with facility policies.
- →Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective management of patient medications.
