About the Role
About the Position: These positions are located at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available.
What You'll Do
- →Provide patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.
- →Provide individualized nursing care to patient based upon the physician’s medical care plan, the nursing assessment, and the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the patient.
- →Assist the physician with various examinations and diagnostic procedures.
- →Prepare medications and immunizations for administration.
- →Perform routine procedures, such as eye, throat, nasal and/or wound cultures, dressing changes, ear irrigation, and application of bandages.
- →Recognize adverse signs and symptoms immediately and calls for assistance and if the situation warrants it, performs CPR immediately.
- →Set up, operate, and monitor specialized equipment.
