About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. What You'll Do
- →Provide practical nursing care to patients in the inpatient setting with a variety of medical conditions.
- →Perform tasks such as record vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and report significant findings to the supervising nurse or physician.
- →Administer prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.
- →Assist in performing and managing medical procedures, such as wound care, catheterizations, and respiratory therapies, under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed medical practitioner.
- →Provide patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.
