About the Position: Position is located within the Directorate of Nursing, Pediatric Unit at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide nursing care to patients in the inpatient setting with a variety of medical conditions, performing tasks such as recording vital signs, monitoring patient conditions, and reporting significant findings to the supervising nurse or physician.
- →Administer prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.
- →Assist in performing and managing medical procedures, such as wound care, catheterizations, and respiratory therapies, under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed medical practitioner Provide patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.
- →Assist patients with mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs to promote comfort and recovery.
- →Assist the physician with various examinations and diagnostic procedures.
