About the Position: This position is located at 88th Medical Group, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Gather comprehensive patient history from patients or family members to identify major complaints, symptoms, or reason for seeking health care.
- →Coordinate and facilitate patient care, communicate relevant updates in accordance with the medical plan of care and nursing assessment, and document actions accurately in the health record.
- →Provide individualized nursing care to patients of all ages based upon the physician’s medical care plan, the nursing assessment, and the physical, mental and emotional needs of the patient.
- →Conduct routine procedures, including but not limited to: administering inhalation treatments, performing fingerstick glucose and urine dipstick testing, assessing visual acuity, phlebotomy, and applying dressing changes.
- →Screen and review immunization records to select required immunizations, correct dosages, and administer oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular immunizations to all age groups.
- →Perform teaching to patients and/or family regarding self-care procedures and documents teaching.
