About the Role
You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER (ACCIDENT INVESTIGATOR) in the Provost Marshall Office Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
What You'll Do
- →You will respond to all traffic accidents; thoroughly investigate, supervise the accident scene and/or direct all events at the scene of an accident.
- →You will review statements taken, interview witnesses, interrogate suspects and reconstruct the scene of an accident.
- →You will coordinate base traffic surveys of suspect or traffic problem areas and monitor them to maintain statistics on accidents for traffic enforcement/control programs.
- →You will conduct radar system detection to enforce speed limits and sobriety checkpoints to identify and deter drinking and driving violations.
- →You will ensure that photos and proper measurements are taken at accident scenes to reconstruct the events of the accident.
- →You will perform traffic law enforcement using radar and Breathalyzer; conduct investigative stops, questions, detains and issues traffic citations.
- →You will perform motorized, walking or bike patrols of the installation; respond to and investigate complaints while enforcing federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DOD, Naval and Marine Corps regulations.
