About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a Police Office (Traffic Investigator) located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the subject matter expert for traffic collision response, investigations, reconstruction and traffic management operations.
- →Advises supervisor on traffic management issues impacting readiness and traffic movement of the installation.
- →Exercises search and arrest authority, detains witnesses, apprehends suspects, interviews witnesses and other persons involved.
- →Collects and preserves evidence, conducts short-term and long-term investigations on criminal cases and analyze facts to identify suspects and develops case information.
- →Conducts and/or participates in civilian training regarding various law enforcement topics conducted on an Army installation.
