About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Ft. Benning is located in the "Tri-Community" comprised of Columbus and Ft. Benning, GA; and Phoenix City, AL. Columbus (third-largest city in Georgia) is a growing community.
What You'll Do
- →Interview witnesses to determine cause of accidents.
- →Take charge of accident scenes upon arrival, directing all other uniformed patrols as they arrive on the scene.
- →Investigate traffic accidents including collecting and securing evidence and the scene.
- →Enforce the laws of the Unites States.
- →Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), and regulations to protect life and property.
- →Analyze and interpret military laws, regulations, and standards as it relates to the prevention of criminal activities in military installations.
- →Apprehend, arrest, or detain persons or violators.
- →Respond to incidents to determine if a violation of the uniform code of Military Justice occurred.
- →Operate motor vehicles involving high speed maneuvering.
- →Operate patrol vehicle in emergency situations.
- →Comply with regulatory requirements to maintain assigned weapons and gear.
- →Operate a firearm in the performance of duty in accordance with proper procedures.
