About the Role
About the Position: The Department of the Army Civilian Police Officer (DACP), serves at the one of the two Military Ocean Terminals (MOT) in the United States.
What You'll Do
- →Issue traffic citations and formal warnings to document violations and discourage unsafe driving behavior on the installation.
- →Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic at controlled points to ensure orderly movement and prevent accidents during peak hours or special events.
- →Operate a firearm in the performance of duty in accordance with proper procedures.
- →Categorize Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AAE) to ensure proper handling and protect military munitions against sabotage, espionage, theft, or damage.
- →Investigate Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and SCIF alarms to determine probable cause and prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information.
- →Administer lifesaving first aid to stabilize victims during emergencies until medical personnel arrive.
- →Intercept and board unauthorized vessels in restricted waters to determine potential criminal threats and safeguard military assets.
- →Apprehend criminal suspects based on investigative facts and the determination of probable cause.
- →Apply Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAM) and Force Protection (FP) Conditions at entry points to deter unauthorized access to installation.
