About the Role
You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER in the Force Protection Department of NAVBASE KITSAP SEC DET.
What You'll Do
- →You will defend installation personnel, equipment, and resources from terrorist threats or hostile attacks.
- →You will detect and responds to threats to restricted areas, and detains, apprehends, applies restraints and transports violators as required.
- →You will conduct vehicle searches, inspect packages and personal belongings when admitting personnel into controlled or restricted areas or during increased FPCONs or a specific security incident.
- →You will conduct investigations that are below the current Defense Criminal Investigative Organization or dedicated Investigator/Detective threshold.
- →You will conduct traffic management as required.
Requirements
- ✓The following education may be substituted for specialized experience: Successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in Police Science or a comparable degree program related to the work of the position.
- ✓OR A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
- ✓The percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equals one hundred percent.
- ✓Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (https://www.ed.gov/).
- ✓Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
