About the Role
You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER in the NAVBASE GUAM FORCE PROTECTION A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 11.88% will be added to the stated salary.
What You'll Do
- →You will apprehend or detain individuals in accordance with regulations or laws.
- →You will conduct investigations through record checks, interviews, surveillance, or other methods to ascertain any criminal activity.
- →You will follow law enforcement procedures or techniques to enforce laws and protect life, property, and the civil rights of individuals.
- →You will implement standard procedures for responding to requests for services, incidents, accidents, and alarms.
Requirements
- ✓GS-05: The following education may be substituted for specialized experience: I have successfully completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in Police Science or a comparable degree program related to the work of the position.
- ✓OR I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
- ✓The percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equals one hundred percent.
- ✓Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (https://www.ed.gov/).
- ✓Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
- ✓Failure to provide all of the required information as stated in this vacancy announcement may result in an ineligible rating or may affect the overall rating.
- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Military Spouse Preference applicants will be placed at the highest grade for which they have applied and are determined Best Qualified (BQ).
- ✓A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.
- ✓PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ).
- ✓To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
