About the Role

We love our jobs. Do you? This position is located in the esteemed Architect of the Capitol, Library Building and Grounds, Maintenance Branch, Plumbing Section. As a Pipefitter Leader, you will troubleshoot, repair, and install pipefitting system components in assigned Capitol Complex work sites that include extensive grounds and arboretum, monumental historic buildings with a complex infrastructure. The position is considered essential and is required to report during emergency closures.

What You'll Do

  • TOUR OF DUTY: Sunday through Thursday 1:30 PM -10:00 PM As a Pipefitter leader, you will lead, motivate, and work alongside journey-level pipefitters throughout the Library Buildings and Grounds.

Requirements

  • A Tier II Moderate Risk Public Trust Background Investigation will be required and must be successfully completed and maintained as a condition of employment after the initial hiring action is completed.
  • There is no educational requirement.
  • You must be a U.S.
  • You must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Your resume and question responses must demonstrate job-related elements.
  • Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
