About the Role

What You'll Do
- →The Division of Urology at the VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHCS) is seeking an academically oriented staff urologist with expertise in Endourology, with particular focus on the evaluation and management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
- →The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong academic record supported by evidence of teaching, research activity, and peer-reviewed publications within the field of Urology.
- →Prior leadership experience is beneficial and will be considered favorably.
- →This position is primarily centered on Endourology but also offers opportunities to expand and contribute to additional subspecialty areas within Urology, including minimally invasive and laparoscopic/robotic surgery, as well as pathways for leadership growth within the service.
- →Clinical responsibilities will also include general urology coverage and participation in call, ensuring broad and comprehensive clinical exposure.

- →Major Duties include but are not Limited to: Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with the full range of urologic conditions, both benign and malignant.
- →Perform minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical procedures.
- →Provide outpatient and inpatient urologic consultations and follow-up care.
- →Participate in general urology call coverage.
- →Conduct comprehensive histories and physical examinations for urology patients.
- →Teach and supervise residents, fellows, and trainees; participate in research and academic activities.
- →Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality Veteran care.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
