What You'll Do
- →Serves under the direction of the Regional Medical Director (RMD) and will travel throughout their respective region providing professional health care services for federal prisoners confined at the facilities within the region.
- →May serve as the acting Clinical Director of a particular facility providing oversight and guidance to staff physicians or mid-level practitioners assigned to the facility.
- →Provides timely and appropriate care to inmates at facilities within a particular region in the absence of the Clinical Director or Staff Physician.
- →Participates in interviews and selection recommendation process for physicians within their respective region.
- →Provides consultation to regional staff, up to and including the Regional Director on complex medical issues.
- →Assists the Regional Medical Director with work load and duties as assigned and as work load dictates.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and is performed on a regular and recurring basis.
Requirements

- ✓Be rated well-qualified for the position, scoring at least half of the total possible points for the vacancy KSAs or competencies; and 3.
- ✓Submit the appropriate documentation to support your CTAP or ICTAP eligibility: A copy of the agency notice (i.e., separation notice or agency RIF letter), Most recent performance appraisal, and Most recent SF-50 showing current/former position, grade, promotion potential, and duty location.
