About the Role
About the Position: Serve as a Psychiatry Physician delivering comprehensive mental health services, providing high-quality, evidence-based care that supports medical readiness, promotes wellness, and ensures continuity of care at the Naval Health Clinic Annapolis in Annapolis, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Provide treatment services such as inpatient and outpatient services, partial hospitalization, and emergency psychiatric service.
- →Develop treatment and rehabilitation plans and provide appropriate therapeutic treatment services.
- →Determine and provide mental health assessments of fitness and suitability for duty.
- →Monitor treatment effectiveness through evidence-based medicine.
- →Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations of patients.
- →Prescribe pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment.
- →Provide referrals to other medical and mental health care providers.
- →Provide professional consultation, supervision, and collaborative medical support to other staff.
- →Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) functions, performance improvement, risk management, and peer review programs.
