About the Role
About the Position: Applicant will complete comprehensive reviews of medical records with the dictation of a behavioral health addendum. Hours are routinely 0700-1530. Can flex as needed. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a Physician (Psychiatry) in a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) providing examinations, diagnoses, and treatment of mental health diseases.
- →Provide ambulatory outpatient treatment and consultative services.
- →Monitors treatment effectiveness through evidence-based medicine.
- →Provide therapeutic treatment services.
- →Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) functions, performance improvement, risk management, and peer review programs.
- →Provide professional consultation, supervision, and collaborative medical support to other staff.
- →Prescribe pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment.
- →Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations of patients.
- →Train psychiatric residents, interns, medical students, and other medical and mental health trainees, as needed.
