About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Behavioral Health at Womack Army Medical Center At Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Makes decisions that have a serious impact on the lives of others, such as recommending hospitalization or determining a service members fitness for duty or assessing and completing a Medical Evaluation Board (MEB).
- →Provides routine, intensive, complex and emergency intakes and extended evaluation for a variety of emotional, psychological and behavioral disorders.
- →Performs duties as a practitioner and consultant in Psychiatry with emphasis on problems of all levels of complexity.
- →Provides psychiatric care for walk-in patients presenting with acute illnesses of minor and major proportions.
- →Collaborates with physicians in other medical specialties on cases involving complicated and multifaceted problems.
- →Provides treatment services in any capacity including, but not limited to, assessment, medication management and disposition of psychiatric patients including making arrangements for hospitalization if needed.
