About the Role
The Fort Harrison Montana VA Medical Facility is currently recruiting for Primary Care Physicians to help serve our Nation's Heroes.
What You'll Do

- →Duties of the position include, but, are not limited to: Functions as the Physician Team leader of their Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), Ambulatory Care Services, Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) setting at (MTVAHCS).
- →May perform additional duties (temporary or permanent) as a float provider (face-to-face or via telehealth) as those duties are assigned.
- →Responsible for providing medical care in an outpatient setting following PACT principles.
- →Will routinely provide medical care using Face-to-Face (F2F), VVC, and/or Telephone appointments.
- →When performing duties as a float provider (F2F or telehealth) for remote patients, will provide care to outreach clinics as needed.
- →Float provider duties (temporary or permanent) may require travel to the supported CBOC(s) periodically to cover a provider vacancy.
- →Assures that clinical care provided meets all timelines and required documentation as required by VA.
- →Providers must review alerts daily and have no more than 200 alerts at any given time.
- →They must encounter their notes within 72 hours.
- →Encounter errors must be completed within 7 days.
- →Participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings to achieve a patient centered, holistic approach for clinical care and needs of the Veteran.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.
- ✓Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process.
- ✓Acceptable form(s) of identification will be required to complete pre-employment requirements (https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents).
- ✓Effective May 7, 2025, driver's licenses or state-issued identification cards that are not REAL ID compliant cannot be utilized as an acceptable form of identification for employment.
- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- ✓You may be required to serve a probationary period.

- ✓Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine.
