About the Role
The Columbus VA Medical Center is recruiting a physician within Primary Care Service. This position must be an experienced designated Women's Health Care provider. This is a Float Physician; the main role of this position is to provide coverage for Primary Care PACT providers at the Main Columbus facility, along with the Community Based Outpatients Clinics (CBOCs) in Zanesville, Grove City, Marion, Newark, and Delaware.

- →Diagnosis Formulate the appropriate differential diagnosis based on the history, physical examination and clinical findings Demonstrate high level of autonomy and skills in identification of disease and diagnosis Development of a Treatment Plan Establish priorities and develop a plan of a care which includes ordering appropriate laboratory and x-ray diagnostic tests.
- →Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.

- →Contraceptive devices Contraceptive implant insertion and removal IUD insertion and removal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm OR 7:30am-4:00pm OR 8:00am-4:30pm
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).

- ✓Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine.
