About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients who are referred primarily for comprehensive pain management and/or a functional restoration program in an outpatient setting and/or in an inpatient setting.
- →Implement integrative treatments such as acupuncture, manual medicine, nutritional and lifestyle advice, other complementary and alternative medicine methods, etc., within recognized professional practice parameters.
- →Serve as a specialty consultant to other departments, services, and health-care providers for a variety of diseases and conditions marked by acute and chronic pain.
- →Order, collect, and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures and studies including, but not limited to, urine, blood, and tissue specimens.
- →Oversee, teach, lecture, mentor, and provide consultation to other health care providers (nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, medical students, interns, residents, and fellows).
- →Perform a full spectrum of interventional pain procedures such as epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, sympathetic blocks etc. utilizing fluoroscopic and ultrasound guidance
