About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

- →Start, continue, or finish your career here | VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible full-time academic Cardiologist to join our Cardiology Section, accountable to the Chief of Cardiology.
- →The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center is closely affiliated with the adjacent University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, and it is expected that the successful candidate will qualify for faculty appointment in the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
- →The successful candidate will have interest, skill, and demonstrated experience in clinical care, education, and investigation.
- →A focused interest in heart failure or advanced cardiac imaging is desirable.
- →Duties include inpatient and outpatient consultative cardiovascular care and attending in the non invasive cardiology laboratories (echocardiography, stress testing, and/or advanced cardiac imaging); and education and supervision of Cardiovascular Disease fellows, other medical trainees, and preceptorship to advanced practice providers.
- →The successful candidate will lead or collaborate in basic, clinical, or health services research in cardiovascular disease.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
