About the Role
The Interventional Radiologist shall provide Board Certified Interventional Radiologist Services. The IR Physician shall provide interventional radiology services to include consultations, diagnostic imaging, therapeutic procedures, patient management, and follow-up care. This physician will be responsible for providing interpretation and submission of radiology reports as required by the VA, for both the outpatient and inpatient settings at the Minneapolis VAHCS.
What You'll Do
- →The IR physician is knowledgeable in universal precautions, certified in ACLS, aseptic techniques, procedures related to radiography and ionizing radiation, Time Out/safety procedures, and is able to identify factors that may contraindicate an imaging procedure.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.
