About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at the Outpatient Clinic, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist providing care to adult patients who have both acute and chronic illnesses of all complexities.
- →Examine, diagnose, treat and follow patients with a wide range of medical problems, including heart failure, kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes, liver disease, cancer, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and thyroid disorders.
- →Serve as an attending physician and leader of an inpatient medicine team, supervising, teaching, objectively evaluating, and providing consultation to other healthcare providers.
- →May perform on call duties as the MOD after normal duty hours.
- →MOD duties may involve being called back to duty for an emergent, situation and the MOD must be readily accessible by telephone or pager during the duration of his/her call period.
- →Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner; attend key staff meetings; participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
