About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the primary care physician for adult patients who have both acute and chronic illnesses and conditions covering internal medicine.
- →Manage complicated medical problems such congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, hypertension, peptic ulcer disease, thyroid disorders, diabetes, arthritic conditions, etc.
- →Examine patients, take histories, perform physical examinations, order laboratory tests, prescribe treatment and refer, as appropriate, to specialty/subspecialty care.
- →Complete required records (both paper and electronic) pertaining to all medical services provided in accordance with specified procedures and regulations.
- →Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and quality assurance activities as assigned.
- →Provide technical oversight of clinical staff (e.g. nurses, social workers, therapists, and various technicians).
