About the Role
About the Position: This position is located within the 412th Medical Group, Edwards Air Force Base, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a recognized technical authority in the delivery of Family Medicine across the family medicine clinic, primary care clinic, urgent care clinic, and other clinical settings within the military medical treatment facility.
- →Prepare treatment plans based on thorough evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
- →Identify illness and prescribe and administer healthcare treatment plans for patients across the full spectrum of age, gender, and complexity, including those suffering from injury or disease.
- →Develop and implement new clinical approaches, treatment protocols, and care delivery models, including primary care optimization, population health management initiatives, and chronic disease management programs.
- →Perform emergency services and crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary.
- →Provide advice by telephone and/or in person to other physicians, non-physician providers, and other professional medical staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and nonurgent medical problems.
- →Plan, develop, and direct the clinical operations of the assigned program, including establishing clinical workflows, patient access standards, productivity benchmarks, and quality metrics.
- →Identify opportunities to improve care delivery, advise on difficult or complex cases, and recommend corrective action when problems exist.
