The Deputy Chief of Staff takes an active role in coordinating and integrating clinical and support programs to meet the needs of veterans; ensuring medical staff compliance with regulations, FPPE/OPPE, medical staff bylaws, facility policies, Joint Commission standards, performance measures and other appropriate regulations while developing and monitoring quality improvement measures for process improvement and evaluating clinical workload and resources for existing and program requirements.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
