About the Role
Phoenix VA Health Care System is recruiting a Detail Opportunity Not-To-Exceed (120) Days as the Physician (Deputy Chief of Staff). This position reports to the Chief of Staff and serves as the Acting Physician (Deputy Chief of Staff) and will supervise clinical services or programs as determined by the Chief of Staff. Mileage, Lodging, and Per Diem may be provided, depending on Selectee's current location.
What You'll Do
- →Detail Not-To-Exceed (NTE) 120 Days Mileage, Lodging, and Per Diem may be provided, depending on Selectee's current location.

- →Serves on VISN 22 committees and assumes VISN 22 leadership roles as assigned by the Network Director with concurrence of the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) Medical Center Director.
- →Serves as PVAHCS committees, taskforces and workgroups as assigned by the Chief of Staff or the Medical Center Director.
- →Has oversight of Veterans Health Administration (VHA) education programs.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- ✓You may be required to serve a probationary period.

- ✓Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine.
