About the Role
The National CARDIO-VET Network is recruiting for a TeleWing Team Lead (Physician - Cardiologist) in one of the following locations, Omaha, Nebraska, Afton, Wyoming, or Sheridan, Wyoming. The incumbent will function as a Physician and team lead for the telecardiology wing of CARDIO-VET, will be expected to oversee care provided by the cardiology advanced practice providers and physicians within the program, and provide face to face, virtual, and asynchronous care to patients in a wide region.
What You'll Do

- →Duties: The incumbent will provide a team lead role to the CARDIO-VET Telecardiology wing, overseeing capacity, scheduling, productivity and ensuring efficient operations of a rapidly expanding service.
- →The incumbent will complete medical diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease and heart rhythm disorders.
- →The incumbent will take and perform comprehensive and accurate histories and physical exams, respectively, electrocardiography, ambulatory rhythm monitoring (Holter, event monitoring, loop monitoring, and implantable event recorders), and exercise testing.
- →The incumbent will have general knowledge in imaging techniques (fluoroscopy, echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging [MRI], computed tomography [CT], nuclear imaging, angiograms, and others).
- →The incumbent will see patients in the outpatient clinic and in the hospital for consultation and short/intermediate and long-term management.
- →The incumbent will supervise care provided by the cardiology advanced practice providers within their spoke network as well as provide face to face and virtual care to patients in a wide region.
- →The incumbent will coordinate procedural care with the CARDIO-VET Network for the patient to have any needed procedural care provided at the hub facility.
- →The incumbent may assume a Telecardiology role supporting sites with remote interpretations of echocardiograms and other studies, providing consultation to APPs, and providing telehealth services within scope of practice.
- →This position will travel up to 25%.
- →Travel will involve the use of a GOV or airline for conferences/team meetings and travel to CARDIOVET sites.
- →You will be required to have a valid driver's license.
- →This position potentially requires flexibility in schedule and assignments.
Requirements

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
