About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Department of Surgery, Physical Therapy Service, Honolulu, Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices.
What You'll Do
- →Perform a wide range of complex PTA duties requiring an advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy.
- →Under the direction of the PT, plan, coordinate, and administer diverse physical therapy programs for wounded, ill and injured patients, as well as other beneficiaries, with a wide range of physical and mental health diagnoses and disabilities.
- →Make recommendations and utilize the various modalities of physical therapy, as prescribed, to include diathermy, hydrotherapy, massage, electrotherapy, ultrasound and therapeutic exercise.
- →Instruct and review all home program precautions and contraindications with patients and family members on use and application of physical modalities for home environment.
- →Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to make recommendations for the patient's rehabilitation and reintegration needs.
- →Document information related to all patient's care.
- →Complete administrative duties as required, including but not limited to checking in patients, scheduling, and template management.
