About the Role
The Pharmacy service line is looking for one Pharmacy Technician to join there team at the Eastern Oklahoma VA Healthcare System (EOVAHCS).
What You'll Do

- →VA Careers - Pharmacy: https://youtube.com/embed/Fn_ickNBEws Major Duties and Responsibilities: Pharmacy technicians at this level are nationally certified and can work autonomously using independent judgment They also function as staff pharmacy technicians in various locations of the pharmacy, including pharmacy contact centers and other non-traditional pharmacy locations, with minimal oversight.
- →Required to have principles, practices, concepts, and theories providing for sound independent work.
- →Responsible for the computerized prescription process and input of prescriptions and medication orders or electronic equivalent.
- →Resolves pharmacy/medication issues with other members of the healthcare team, Veterans, and external customers.
- →Trains developmental pharmacy technicians and students.
- →Dispenses medication or sterile products following all regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure safe medication distribution.
- →Troubleshot automated dispensing equipment (ADE) or technology platforms/databases.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Shifts Vary and will be discussed with supervisor.

Requirements
