About the Position: This position is located at WINN Army Medical Hospital, Fort Stewart, GA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a dispensing outpatient pharmacy technician in the pharmacy service performing duties that can range from routine to difficult.
- →Perform pharmacy dispensing services using knowledge of pharmaceuticals in order to perform duties in pharmacy functional areas.
- →Determine type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed in accordance with accepted practice and pharmacy standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- →Coordinate with prescriber or pharmacist to clarify issues or problems with dosing, interactions, or instructions.
- →Attend the dispensing window for pick up; provide instruction to patients on proper use of medications.
- →Scan the prescriptions for the filler and checker after typing prescriptions and then fills the prescription.
