About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at 99th Medical Group Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Receive and review individual prescriptions for the full range of pharmaceuticals, to include controlled drugs, to determine kind, strength, and dosage of drugs to be dispensed.
- →Interpret prescription orders for appropriateness and conformity with established standards.
- →Processes prescriptions by data entry and verifies prescription orders.
- →Prepare, package, and label prescriptions and drug orders as ordered by the pharmacist and in accordance with (IAW) pharmaceutical rules, regulations, and procedures.
- →Conduct interviews with patients or their caregivers for the purpose of establishing medication history.
- →Provide drug information to patients and caregivers and counsels patients/caregivers on proper medication use.
