About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.
What You'll Do
- →Analyzes patterns and trends to determine appropriate, effective, and economical prescribing and dispensing of drugs.
- →Serve on a variety of committees, boards, and other bodies representing the pharmacy specialty and providing authoritative input on pharmacy related matters.
- →Monitor the dispensing of pharmaceuticals in the Military Treatment and allied facilities.
- →Evaluate and prepare reports on the impact of alternative drug therapies employing pharmacoeconomic tools such as cost-benefit analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, cost-utility analysis, or cost-minimization analysis.
- →Participate in, conduct, or monitor studies involving pharmaceuticals and pharmacy related issues.
- →Prepare or conduct training of physicians, pharmacists, and other health care providers on the cost-effective use of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
- →Recommend or initiate changes and updates to instructions, regulations and other guidance as needed.
- →Serve as an expert on pharmaceuticals, pharmacokinetics, drug use evaluations, and pharmacotherapeutics for the Military Treatment Facility.
